Tēnā koutou katoa – Nau mai, haere mai!

Ko Rachel Field ahau, he uri nō Ngāti Awa, Ngāi Tūhoe me Ngāti Pikiao. Kei Te Teko e noho ana – the centre of the universe (if you ask me hehe!) here in the beautiful Eastern Bay of Plenty. I’m a proud mum of two awesome young men (most days 🥴 haha) who keep me busy, grounded, and constantly learning – with the support of our hapori / our community.

In terms of mahi, my background started in Tourism, then 13 years with the Department of Corrections, followed by followed by working within TOI-EDA – our Regional Economic Development Agency.

From facilitating Civil Construction Forums between Businesses & Councils promoting local businesses, Workforce Action Network – bringing High Schools & Tertiary Providers together, and Māori & Pasifika Pakihi Forums, Obtaining & Delivering National & Regional MSD Contracts, Supported Seven Local Civil Businesses to Obtain TEC Funding to help build the capability of their teams – Investment in themselves & their kaimahi/staff.

My mahi is all about uplifting our people and our rohe. Through my business, RIR Advanced Ltd, I help create pathways for training, employment, and connection that empower whānau and strengthen local businesses.

Collectively we’re building a rohe/region that’s self-sufficient, skilled, full of opportunity for future generations. Mokopuna Decisions!
